Your grievances, received. Your grievances, unaddressed.
Complain Here is a registered complaint repository providing a dedicated space for the submission of grievances, frustrations, and general dissatisfaction with the way things are. Complaints are received anonymously, counted, and stored nowhere. There is no complaint team. There is no inbox. There is a number that goes up.
Research in cognitive behavioral psychology suggests that expressing a complaint, even to an entity incapable of acting on it, provides measurable emotional relief. We provide the entity. We cannot confirm the relief. But we are here.
Studies we found and partially read suggest that writing about negative experiences reduces their emotional weight. We cannot confirm this specifically applies to writing into a void, but we are optimistic.
Your complaint is received by the system, assigned a reference number, and processed through our pipeline, which includes: receipt, assignment, review, "action pending," and final status: "Resolution: never." This pipeline is complete at the moment of submission. Nothing downstream occurs.
Your complaint is not stored on our servers. It is not read by humans. It passes into a state we describe internally as "acknowledged by the interface and released into the broader context of existing."
The global complaint counter shown on the main page begins at 47,000-48,000 and increments with each submission. This starting value was chosen to suggest an established complaint history, which is true in a general sense in that humans have been complaining since before this website existed.
